Toxigenic mold species — particularly Stachybotrys — appear in Shively properties with histories of water damage or chronic moisture. They require full containment, PPE-equipped removal, and HEPA air scrubbing throughout the entire work period. Our Shively black mold protocol starts with confirmed species identification through certified lab analysis — not a visual assumption.

Remediation removes the active colony. Prevention keeps it from coming back — which in Shively's seasonal weather environment requires addressing the moisture source directly. Called Acdc Appliance Repair for a Shively crawl space inspection after heavy rain flooding. They found early-stage mold before it spread, treated it, encapsulated the crawl space, and the follow-up test was clean. Catching it early saved me from a much bigger remediation cost.
